Message to the fans

 Hello To All Supporters,

This week is an exciting one for the team as we open up the season this coming weekend with our first road trip 19-20 April. The team will fly out Saturday morning with our first game Saturday at 5.00PM in Newcastle against the North Stars. After an overnight in Newcastle we then get on the bus Sunday lunch time for a game in Erina against the Central Coast Rhinos at 5.45PM. An overnight in Sydney Sunday night, and all and sundry will be on the first plane out of Sydney Monday morning..ready for work!!

The lead up in training has been excellent with a full training squad of approximately 25 players each week. You can go to our new website at www.bluetongues.com.au and view the whole list of players and profiles at http://www.bluetongues.com.au/roster.php

The team selected for the first trip away will include the following:

Goalies: Simo Mustonen (import) and Brenton Cooney
Defencemen: Chris Martin (import), Chris Kerr (import), Ben Spillane, Rob Avey, and Ross Howell
Forwards: Jordan Ross (import), Reg Thomas (import), Jack Connor, Chris Bell, Dave Upton, Christian Sullivan, Ben Maher, Nick Jones, and Paul Rayner.

There have been changes to the schedule, and we will start with 6 games on the road, 3 weekends, before our first home weekend on 14-15 June. From that weekend onwards we will have 14 of our last 18 games at home in the months of June, July, and August...so be ready for some unreal, live and fast hockey games!

I have attached a sponsorship brochure with the changes to the schedule. Please forward the attachment to any and all your colleagues, follow them up and if they can support us in this our first year on the Gold Coast.....we would be most grateful ...and they will love it!!!
