The Bartercard Gold Coast Blue Tongues host the Sydney Ice Dogs in back-to-back games this weekend at Bundall, on the Gold Coast.
The Blue Tongues sit 5th in the AIHL standings right now, just 2 points behind the Ice Dogs. Wins this weekend would move the team up into the top 4 and put them in a good spot to make a run for a playoff spot, and a trip to the AIHL Finals later this year.
The two teams played each other last Saturday, with the Ice Dogs coming away 5-0 victors, a result the team are determined not to repeat this weekened.

The Blue Tongues have a great history of scoring on the Ice Dogs.
The Blue Tongues have been stellar at home against the Ice Dogs since moving to the Gold Coast in 2008. In the 6 games played, the Blue Tongues have won 5 of them, outscoring the Ice Dogs 34-17.
The offense will once again be led by team leading scorer Matt Amado (29G 45Pts) and fellow imports Tobias Falk (15G 35Pts) and Mike McRae (9G 26Pts). The team will be missing a few core players from the lineup also, making way for local players to step in and make their mark on the team.
The roster for this weekend is:
Ross Howell - Dave Upton - Alex Hall
Matt Courtney - Dan Pedersen - Tom Letki
Alex Boyd will be available and will play on Sunday.
Tickets cost $10 and are available at the door.
For those unable to make the games, updates will be available on the Blue Tongues website (http://bluetongues.com.au) as well as the teams Twitter page (http://twitter.com/gcbluetongues).
