The Bartercard Gold Coast Blue Tongues travel to Sydney this weekend to face off against the two Sydney team; Ice Dogs and Bears. The teams have played each other once already this season in May where the Blue Tongues suffered a defeat to the Ice Dogs and win over the Bears.
The game against the Ice Dogs could be a momentum changer for the Blue Tongues who currently sit in 6th place on the AIHL ladder, 2 points behind the Ice Dogs who sit in 4th. A win today will move the Blue Tongues ahead of the Ice Dogs on the ladder.
The Bears, who sit 7 points behind the Blue Tongues in 7th place will be looking to play the role of spoiler and increase their already slim playoff chances.
This weekend could see the return of netminder, Luke Fiveash and forward, Mikki Levy.
The team traveling this weekend are:
Forwards:
Matt Amado, Mike Mcrae, Mikki Levy, Tobias Falk, Alex Hall, Alex Boyd, Brad Young, Tom Letki, Ross Howell
Defenseman:
Bob Sannemo, Ben Spillane, Cam Trew, Marco Bertossa.
Goalies:
Luke Fiveash (possible), CJ Anderson or Kane Easterbrook
