Why be an import sponsor?
Imports are one of the key elements to both the Bluetongues and the Queensland Ice Hockey community. In sponsoring an import not only are you helping support a player who brings a high skill level to the team but you are benefiting the local sporting community with access to the wealth of knowledge and experience an import brings.
Imports play an intengral role in developing the sport in Queensland, as the players, many of whom have played in the world’s elite leagues (NHL, CHL and NCAA to name a few), pass on their knowledge and expertise to benefit the game’s younger generation.
Without sponsorship however, to help cover the costs incurred in bringing these invaluable resources to the team and allowing them to give their time to the ice hockey community, much of the benefit that can be gained by their presence is lost.
