It has been well documented that the Bartercard Gold Coast Blue Tongues got the best jump ever on a season by starting dryland training last November. Acceleration is a Queensland based sports training group with two centres in Brisbane, one in Townsville, and the centre on the Gold Coast is responsible for training over 400 Gold Coast athletes. Acceleration's is linked to many sporting organisations, and most recently the Gold Coast centre partnered exclusively with the Gold Coast United soccer (football) franchise. The Bartercad Gold Coast Blue Tongues and Acceleration entered into a sponsorship partnership which the Blue Tongues aim to capitalise on by giving young Blue Tongue players like Jack, Jon, Cameron, and Dave every opportunity to perform well with the Blue Tongues and strive to represent Australia in the International arena. We read a few updates ago that Dave Upton will be boarding a plane at the end of the month to represent Australia at senior level, so this is just the beginning for young Blue Tongues representing Australia. With the help of Acceleration and a successful Blue Tongue year we hope to see these boys and others like Eric Sewell and Alex Hall who represented and assisted Australia recently in winning the World Youth Championships, stake their claim.
