3 Imports signed by the Blue Tongues

The Bartercard Gold Coast Blue Tongues are pleased to announce the signing of 3 Import players for the 2008 AIHL season; Simo Mustonen (Goalie) from Finland, Gaetan Royer (Right Wing) from Canada and Danny Stewart (Center) also from Canada.

Simo Mustonen has a wealth of experience between the pipes and will give the Blue Tongues a solid number 1 netminder.

Gaetan Royer is a Right Winger who comes to us from the LNAH in Canada where he played on the same line as former Blue Tongue Matt Amado for Radio X de Quebec. Gaetan has played hockey in some of the best leagues around the world, including 3 games with the Tampa Bay Lightning in the NHL, and 4 years in the AHL for the St John Flames and the Springfield Falcons. Danny Stewart is a Center who comes to us from the Basingstoke Bisons in the EIHL where he put up 30 goals and 28 assists in 60 games. Danny has played 5 years in the QMJHL, 4 of them with Rimouski Oceanic, 2 years in the ECHL and this last year in the EIHL. You can read a full list of Danny's stats on HockeyDB.
